Teach Locally: Think Globally Science Workshops
These one-day workshops develop innovative, process-oriented, standards-based, hands-on science, mathematics, engineering and technology curriculum units and resources that use local  environmental issues to teach basic concepts in secondary biology, chemistry, earth sciences, physics, and technology classrooms.  Content expertise is provided by University graduate Fellows who have team-taught with secondary science teachers at Syracuse City School District Nottingham, Fowler and Henninger high schools.  The National Science Foundation-funded workshops are lead by lead by Science Teaching’s Dr. Marvin Druger supported by Drs. Tiffany Koszalka, Sam Clemence and Peter Plumley.  During workshops SCSD teachers and students spend time on the SU campus learning how to use Center of Excellence labs and School of Education technology to broaden classroom experiments.
